Just In Time Rescuers Save Pregnant Mama Dog From Being Euthanized

This is the story of a pregnant dog named Bella who was abandoned in her time of greatest need but was saved by compassionate hearts.

Bella’s Heartbreaking Start

Bella was dumped at a shelter in California while she was in labor, an act of unimaginable cruelty.

Complications during her labor required an emergency C-section, and sadly, only two of her four puppies survived.

Fortunately, Roadogs, a rescue organization, stepped in to save Bella and her tiny family.

They quickly found a foster parent, Dani Karlsson, who welcomed Bella and her puppies with open arms and ensured they received the care they so desperately needed.

“Bella was very grateful to get some help with her puppies,” Karlsson shared with GeoBeats Animals.

Learning To Trust Again

At first, Bella was hesitant around the other animals in Karlsson’s home.

But as time passed, she realized they posed no threat and began to feel at ease in her new environment.

Bella’s recovery brought out her joyful side.

“She did her first zoomie yesterday when I asked if she wanted to go for a walk,” Karlsson said. “She’s showing her personality more and more now.“

While Bella’s puppies are still too young for adoption, Karlsson plans to find them loving homes once they’re old enough, around 10 weeks.

As for Bella, Karlsson is actively searching for a wonderful family to give her the happy life she deserves—though parting with her will be bittersweet for her foster mom.
