Worried Dad Finds His Missing Dog Running Back Alongside A Surprise Duo Of Friends
The Krier family was filled with worry when they noticed their beloved Black Labrador, Bo, was nowhere to be found.
They immediately started searching, knowing Bo had a knack for sneaking off on little adventures around Concordia, Kansas.
Though it wasn’t the first time Bo had wandered away, he always managed to find his way back home. But this time was different—Bo didn’t return.
The Search For Bo
Bo disappeared one night after his mom let him out into the yard. As the hours passed, worry grew.
His mom, Laura Krier, posted his picture on social media, asking neighbors to keep an eye out for their missing dog and to contact them if spotted.
The next day, hope arrived when Kyle Krier, Bo’s dad, got word that a dog resembling Bo had been seen in a cornfield six miles away. Kyle wasted no time, rushing to the location.
As soon as he arrived, he saw Bo in the distance and called his name. Without hesitation, Bo sprinted toward him.
Kyle was thrilled to have his adventurous dog back. But Bo wasn’t alone—he had brought along some unexpected company.
Bo’s New Friends
As the group approached, Kyle realized Bo had made some new friends: a dog and a goat!
Bo, being the friendly and generous pup he was, didn’t leave them behind. He offered them a ride back in Kyle’s truck. The three hopped in, buckled up, and were off.
Later, Kyle learned that Bo’s adventure buddies were Libby, a dog, and Ozzy, a goat, who belonged to a nearby neighbor.
It turned out that Bo had snuck over to his friends’ house, and together, they’d set off on an adventure. It wasn’t clear who had come up with the plan, but it was obvious that Bo, Libby, and Ozzy were close pals.
“It’s difficult to say if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the culprit in starting the adventure. But, nonetheless, they escaped”, Shawna Huggans, a friend of the Kriers, told The Dodo. “They’re pals for sure.”
Bo’s Adventurous Spirit
Bo was always the life of the party, making friends wherever he went. He continued to enjoy his happy life in Kansas, sneaking out almost daily to explore. He even made more goat friends!
Unfortunately, in July 2022, Laura shared the heartbreaking news that Bo had crossed the rainbow bridge. In her touching tribute, she expressed how much Bo meant to their family.
“He was so perfect from the day we picked him as a puppy, it’s truly unexplainable! The happiness he brought us all everyday, his funny personality. His love to go with dad to work, his love to go on walks or jogs even if I couldn’t keep up with his energy and his love for hot dogs will live on forever with us everyday,” Laura wrote.
Bo was more than just a pet, he was a cherished family member who brightened everyone’s day. His adventurous spirit and big heart will always be remembered by those who loved him.
