Sweet Five-Year-Old Boy Finds Puppies Left Under A Bridge And Begs His Mom To Save Them
No dog should ever endure abandonment or rejection, yet Astra and Luna were left under a bridge, next to a pile of trash.
Hungry and lonely, they searched for food and gazed into the distance, perhaps hoping for their owner’s return.
Fate had different plans for them. A compassionate five-year-old named Cash, along with his mom, would change their lives forever.
Rescuing Two Abandoned Souls
A kind-hearted individual noticed the two pups under the bridge and contacted the Three Little Pitties Rescue, a Texas-based organization that helps street dogs find homes across multiple states.

Upon receiving the call, Alayna, the founder of the rescue, immediately headed to the site, bringing her son Cash along.
When they arrived, the pups wagged their tails with joy, their eyes twinkling with hope. Cash asked his mom to save the abandoned puppies without hesitation.
The pups, later named Luna and Astra, licked Cash’s face lovingly while he smothered them with kisses. Gently, he carried them to his mom’s car, his face glowing with happiness at having saved them.

During the ride to the rescue, the pups felt safe for the first time. They melted with love as their young rescuer cuddled them.
Alayna admired her son’s empathy and determination.
“I’ve been heavily involved in rescue for about seven years, and it has really motivated me to teach my son that we’re supposed to take care of the animals in this world. We’re not supposed to pass them by,” she shared with The Dodo.
After arriving at the rescue, a dedicated volunteer offered to foster Astra and Luna, giving them a loving home and teaching them manners to prepare them for adoption.
Finding Forever Families
Two months later, Cash reunited with Astra and Luna. He hugged them tightly, overjoyed at their progress. The puppies, equally thrilled, showered him with kisses.

Soon, Astra and Luna found their forever families through the rescue’s adoption program.
Astra’s family fell in love with her after seeing her profile online. Holding her for the first time, they melted with love and introduced her to Puck, her new dog sibling.
Being hockey fans, they renamed her Zamboni.

Luna eagerly embraced her new family and the bright future ahead.
