Couple Adopts Lookalike Dog, Discovers It’s Their Dog’s Sibling
Alyssa and Zachary never anticipated the incredible twist awaiting them when they adopted a second dog that looked eerily similar to their own.
What they discovered next was astonishing: the two dogs weren’t just identical—they were long-lost brothers!
The Perfect Lookalike Of Their Dog
One day, while browsing Facebook, Alyssa and Zachary stumbled upon a post from Trenton Animals Rock, which featured dogs in need of homes.
One dog, a Chow Chow/Shar Pei mix named Max, caught their attention due to his striking resemblance to Zachary’s dog, Arthur.

Intrigued by the resemblance, Alyssa and Zachary drove five hours to Trenton, New Jersey, to meet Max. They decided to adopt him and renamed him Wes.
When Wes arrived at his new home, a special connection began to form. Despite some initial wariness, Wes and Arthur quickly became inseparable, as if they were long-lost friends reunited.
More Than Lookalikes... True Brothers!
Wes and Arthur soon did everything together, from sleeping to walking and playing. Their personalities, though different, complemented each other perfectly, making them the best of friends.

Alyssa and Zachary often remarked how Wes and Arthur seemed like “the same dog in a different font” due to their uncanny similarities.
Driven by curiosity, Alyssa and Zachary decided to get DNA tests for both dogs. They wanted to uncover Wes’s breed details and check on Arthur’s health.
