Owner Leaves His Dog Alone In A Park With A Sad Note
Today’s story is about a dog named Baloo, who was left alone in a park in Arizona by his owner, along with a sad note for others to find.
Alone In The Park
At just 1 year old, Baloo was full of curiosity and excitement about life when his owner left him behind in a park.
Thankfully, a kind woman named Lillian Engelhard noticed him and felt compelled to help.
At first, she wasn’t sure if Baloo was simply waiting for his owner to return, but something didn’t seem right.
She shared with The Dodo: “I was out walking my dog when I saw a dog in the community dog run with no owner around. I thought maybe they went to get something from their car or had an emergency.”
Lillian waited in her car for a while, hoping someone would come back for Baloo, but no one did.
It became clear to her that the dog had been left there for some time—he seemed tired, thirsty, and nervous, pacing back and forth.
A Sweet And Smart Boy
Realizing that Baloo needed help, Lillian approached him. His spirits immediately lifted when he saw her, and he happily greeted his new friend.
It was then that Lillian noticed a note attached to him. The note read: “This dog is not trained!!! I had to leave him. Please save him (Venom).”
Despite the note, it was obvious to Lillian that Baloo was a sweet and loving dog who just needed guidance. He seemed to enjoy being around people and was eager to please.
Lillian took it upon herself to train Baloo and help him focus his energy.
In just a few days, Baloo made great progress. He quickly learned commands like sit, lie down, and stay. He also became potty trained and was clearly enjoying learning new things.
After spending some time in foster care with Lillian, Baloo was ready to find a new home. He was listed for adoption through Lost Our Home Pet Rescue.
While we don’t know if Baloo has been adopted yet, it’s certain he’s in good hands and continues to thrive, learning and growing each day.
Had to share this sweet abandoned rare pupper that I found. I made a reel to help the shelter find a home for him
