Injured Blind Dog Rescued From Streets Is Now The Sweetest Lovebug Ever
Piglet wandered the streets alone, with no one to care for her and no place to call home. She also suffered severe abuse, leaving her with a broken jaw.
Despite everything, Piglet made a brave choice to trust people and embrace love and kindness, instead of letting her past define her.
Piglet’s Remarkable Spirit

Found on the streets as a young puppy, Piglet was barely surviving. Her broken jaw, the result of cruel kicks to her head, made it nearly impossible for her to eat.
She was just days away from a tragic end when the caring team at Northwest Dog Project in Eugene, Oregon, found her.
The team was determined to give Piglet a new lease on life.

Emma, one of the volunteers, recalls how Piglet’s sweet nature was evident from the very beginning. Despite everything she’d been through, Piglet was affectionate and seemed grateful for the love and care she was finally receiving.
“I remember when we were bathing her, she put her head into me and I felt like we kind of bonded immediately. She was so tiny and perfect,” Emma shared with The Dodo.
Receiving Care And Love
Piglet quickly became a favorite at the shelter, charming everyone with her warm kisses and snuggles. The staff at Northwest Dog Project marveled at how this little dog, who had experienced such cruelty, still had so much love to give.

In addition to her broken jaw, Piglet was also deaf and partially blind.
She underwent extensive surgery and faced a long recovery, but she handled it all like a hero.
Her foster mom, Grace, couldn’t have been more thankful to have such a sweet and easy-going pup in her home.

“She had the best temperament out of any puppy,” Grace said, noting how well Piglet got along with her other dogs.
As Piglet’s health improved, she began eating normally and was ready for the next chapter in her life—a forever home.
A New Life With Kit & Robyn
Piglet’s new moms, Kit and Robyn, were thrilled to be the first to adopt her, and it quickly proved to be a perfect match.

From their very first meeting, Piglet bonded instantly with them and her new dog sibling, showing her enthusiasm for her new family.
Now, Piglet is living her best life, full of love and adventure.

Despite her partial blindness and deafness, she enjoys trips to the beach, playing in the snow, long walks, hikes, and making sure her moms are always entertained.
