Puppy Rejected By Mom Over Deformed Leg Finds Love And Becomes A Sweet Teddy Bear

A Heartwarming Tale Of Resilience

Flipflop’s journey began with heartbreak. Just days old, he was rejected by his mother because of his deformity and left struggling for survival.

But his story took a hopeful turn when Bosley’s Place, a rescue in Georgia, stepped in to save him.

Once under the care of Bosley’s Place, Flipflop’s progress was nothing short of remarkable. He quickly learned to bottle-feed and gained weight steadily.

“Other than the obvious deformity of his front left leg, he appears to be very healthy with a great appetite,” the rescue team shared on Facebook.

With constant care and attention, Flipflop blossomed into a lively and affectionate puppy. His playful personality made him a favorite among both humans and other pups at the rescue.

Though his caretakers worried about the risk of infection and amputation in his deformed leg, Flipflop’s determination showed them he was thriving without surgery.

“He’s getting around just fine, it doesn’t bother him whatsoever and because he’s not a 60+ pound dog, he’s not dragging it and it is not at risk of infection so… He gets to keep the leg,” the rescue confirmed.

Flipflop Finds A Forever Family

When Flipflop was ready for adoption, Nikki and her family, devoted dog lovers, opened their hearts and home to him.

The Bosley’s Place team was overjoyed to see Flipflop, now named Butters, join such a loving family.

“He has an amazing family, truly incredible… Not only did they adopt Flipflop, now Butters but, they also adopted TWO of our other special-needs puppies, Griff and Henry, now Hank,” the team wrote in an update.
