Owner Melts Down After Finally Rescuing Dog Stuck In Foxhole For 50 Hours
Alan Whitton, a 53-year-old life coach, faced a terrible experience when his beloved Jack Russell, Mitzi, disappeared during one of their regular walks.
During 2 challenging days, he refused to rest until he finally found his loved pup.
Mitzi & Alan, The Inseparable Duo
Alan adopted Mitzi as a puppy in 2018, following the loss of his long-time companion, Tinker.
Mitzi’s arrival helped Alan heal from that significant loss.

Ever since, Mitzi has been a constant source of joy and companionship, always by his side, whether in moments of affection or playful mischief.
One day, during a routine walk, Mitzi was chased by a Basset Hound and didn’t come back.
Alan was left frantically searching for his loyal partner, but she was nowhere to be found.
Two Days of Agonizing Uncertainty
Alan spent the rest of that day desperately looking for Mitzi, but his efforts were in vain. As darkness fell, he returned home, consumed with worry.
Mitzi had never spent a night outside before, and Alan couldn’t shake the fear that she might not be able to defend herself from potential dangers.

For the next two days, Alan continued his search, plastering the area with missing posters and hoping for any word from the local community.
The uncertainty and fear were almost too much to bear.
A Ray of Hope
Just when hope seemed lost, Alan received a call at around 11 A.M. from a local resident.
Their dog had been sniffing around a foxhole near their house.
Alan, clinging to this glimmer of hope, dropped everything and rushed to the location.
Finally Reunited
Upon arrival, Alan used some of Mitzi’s toys to try and lure her out, squeaking them near the entrance of the foxhole.
To his immense relief, he heard Mitzi’s faint whimper, although he couldn’t see her.

With the help of the nearby residents, Alan began digging into the foxhole.
After about two hours of determined effort, he finally saw Mitzi’s tiny head emerge.

Reaching into the hole, Alan pulled her up into his arms, overwhelmed with emotion.
The crowd that had gathered cheered in joy, witnessing the heartfelt reunion. Alan, tears streaming down his face, held Mitzi close, grateful to have his loyal companion back.

A Bond Stronger Than Ever
Thankfully, Mitzi was unharmed, aside from a few ticks that were quickly removed.
This white-and-brown girl had survived her ordeal and was back where she belonged – in Alan’s loving arms.

The experience only strengthened their bond. Alan even created an Instagram account, MiracleMitzi, to share Mitzi’s adventures and their life together with the world.
