Frightened Shelter Pup Shaking In A Kennel Corner Breaks Rescuers’ Hearts
Comfort was just three months old when her family cruelly abandoned her—the only home she had ever known.
A compassionate witness to this heartbreaking moment took her to a shelter in Los Angeles, California.
Betrayed and confused, the tiny pup trembled uncontrollably in the corner of her kennel, overwhelmed by fear.
The Hardest Time Of Her Life
When she arrived at the shelter, Comfort was malnourished, dehydrated, and infested with fleas. She wouldn’t eat, avoided eye contact, and shrank away from any touch.

The shelter staff and volunteers were heartbroken by the sight of this terrified puppy.
Volunteer Ashley Pittman, who also works with the rescue group A Purposeful Rescue, was determined to help Comfort find a safe foster home.
Ashley posted a video of the frightened dog on Instagram, which quickly went viral after being shared on TikTok.

One compassionate viewer, a foster mom, reached out immediately, offering to help Comfort heal.
With the assistance of A Purposeful Rescue, Comfort was placed into the foster care system and taken to her new foster home. In this loving environment, she could begin to recover.
Finding Comfort in A Loving Foster Home
The shelter had been an overwhelming experience for Comfort, but her foster mom knew she just needed time and patience.

For the first few days, the pup whimpered and hid under the bed, still too scared to come out.
However, her foster mom showered her with love and care, helping Comfort slowly relax. Before long, her frightened eyes began to soften, filled with new hope.
Comfort’s foster mom is now eagerly watching her true personality begin to emerge. With time, the little pup will fully recover and prepare for her next big step: finding her forever family.
