Abandonned Dog Waits In The Rain Hoping For His Owner To Return

Murphy was left abandoned in a rainy trailer park, hopelessly waiting for his owners to come back.

His fate took a turn when a kind-hearted rescuer arrived just in time to help.

Dumped In A Trailer Park

One rainy day in South Carolina, Angela Simmons, a dedicated rescuer, received a call about a dog abandoned at a trailer park.

Neighbors had noticed the dog lying on a couch outside, waiting for someone to come for him, but no one ever did. Moved by his plight, they reached out to Simmons for help.

When Angela arrived, she found the dog to be friendly and unafraid. His paws and nose were irritated, likely from spending so much time exposed to the elements.

Without hesitation, Angela took the dog to a rescue shelter called Auction For A Kaws. There, the dog, now named Murphy, began his journey to a better life.

Thriving At The Shelter

At the shelter, Murphy quickly won over the staff with his affectionate nature.

“Once he entered foster care, he proved to be the biggest love bug,” shared a shelter staff member with The Dodo.

Murphy’s spirit flourished as he engaged in activities he loved, such as taking walks, riding in the car, and lounging in the sun.

Everyone at the shelter was impressed by Murphy’s friendly demeanor and eagerness to learn.

“He loves other dogs and is very intelligent. He is very eager to learn and has amazing manners,” said one of the workers.

Finding A Furever Home

After Murphy had fully recovered and enjoyed plenty of playtime, the shelter decided it was time for him to find a forever home.

They created a video to share his story on Instagram, hoping to find a loving family for him.

“We are so thrilled to offer Murphy for adoption! Murphy is a 45-pound pit mix located in Greenville, South Carolina. He is approximately 3 1/2 years old, housetrained, very loving, walks great on a leash and loves all people.” the video caption read.

By the time this article was written, Murphy was likely enjoying life with a new family.
