Woman Finds An Injured Puppy On Vacation And Gives Her A New Life
While out on vacation, Diana Salinas and her father noticed a starving pup nearby.
Her dad called Diana over to feed the dog, but when she saw the tiny pup dragging her back legs, her heart broke.
The dog, later named Pinta, was weak, scared, and unable to move properly. Diana quickly realized Pinta needed more than food, she urgently needed medical care and attention.
Committed To Helping The Puppy In Trouble
Worried about the dog’s health, Diana decided immediately that she would adopt her.

She brought the pup in from the streets and named her Pinta.
Both she and her dad feared the worst for the little dog. They worried she might be in severe pain, and the thought of the vets possibly recommending euthanasia weighed heavily on Diana’s heart.
Despite these fears, Diana was determined to do everything in her power to help Pinta live a happy and healthy life. A
s her vacation was coming to an end, she scrambled to find a veterinarian who could offer the best care for Pinta.
“Last minute, the day that I was supposed to go back home, I found a doctor who was willing to take her in. They found that she had fractured her vertebrae and one of her legs was broken,” Diana shared.
The veterinarian explained that Pinta would need surgery to correct her injuries and give her a chance at a normal life.
Pinta’s Journey Of Healing
Before leaving to return home, Diana made the decision to pay for the life-saving surgery. She left Pinta in the hands of the veterinarian, hoping and praying for a successful outcome.
To her great relief, the surgery was successful, and Pinta began her road to recovery.

Diana received regular updates on the pup’s progress, eagerly awaiting the day they could reunite.
After four months, that moment finally arrived. Diana’s mom flew to pick up Pinta and bring her home to California. Diana could barely contain her excitement, and when she finally held Pinta again, she was overjoyed to see how far her furry friend had come.
A New Life Full Of Love
Once in her forever home, Pinta adjusted quickly and thrived under Diana’s loving care.

The little dog that had once struggled to walk soon learned how to swim, and her walking improved day by day. Diana’s heart swelled with pride as Pinta’s vibrant personality emerged.
“Now she has a huge personality. Now she loves to play. She loves people. Her personality is she’s super goofy,” Diana said.
Though caring for Pinta hasn’t always been easy, Diana wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. The joy of watching Pinta heal and transform into a happy, thriving dog has been her greatest reward.
Diana and her boyfriend can’t imagine life without Pinta, and the bond they share is undeniable.

“I love her so much. And I’m so happy that she’s in my life, and I hope she’s in me and my boyfriend’s life for so many years… We want to give her the best life possible that a dog can have,” as Diana said.
