Sick Stray Dog Shows Up On A Couple’s Doorstep Looking For Help

Turbo was a stray pup who had been roaming around, hoping for a better life.

When he got sick, he knew he couldn’t wait any longer for someone to help him. So, he decided to take matters into his own paws and seek out the help he desperately needed.

Finding Help On A Porch

While wandering through a vast 200-acre property in Arkansas, Turbo spotted a house in the distance. With no other homes nearby, he realized this was his only chance.

He made his way to the porch and waited, hoping that someone inside would notice him.

When Zach returned home, he was surprised to find an unexpected visitor sitting on his porch. As he approached, he saw that it was a dog, wagging his tail but clearly in rough shape.

“He was very dehydrated and seemed disoriented. I could tell his mobility was very compromised,” Zach shared with The Dodo.

Zach quickly called his wife, Libby, and they both agreed they couldn’t leave the dog alone. They welcomed Turbo into their home, giving him a much-needed bath and some food.

Taking Care Of Turbo

Zach and Libby took Turbo to the vet, where they were surprised to learn that he was 8 years old—they had assumed he was much older due to his condition.

After getting the necessary medication, they brought him back home. Turbo was incredibly grateful, showering his rescuers with kisses.

Initially, Zach and Libby thought Turbo might have an owner, so they posted his photo on social media, hoping to reunite him with his family. But when no one came forward, they decided to keep him.

At first, their other dog, Ava, wasn’t too fond of Turbo. However, after a playful tussle over some chew toys, the two became fast friends.

With the care and love he received, Turbo started to recover quickly. Before long, he was running around and keeping up with Ava, showing just how far he had come.

The Loving Family He Needed

Turbo’s new life was filled with love and attention. He especially enjoyed the belly rubs and cuddles from his new parents.

Zach and Libby were charmed by how Turbo had shown up at their house, comparing it to a human booking an Airbnb.

“It really does seem like his whole attitude was the same way that a human would be if they booked an Airbnb and were waiting for you to open up. He’s like, ‘Oh, you guys are here! Great! I’ve been waiting!’ And what do you do with that? You’re just like, ‘You know what? Welcome to the family,’” Libby said to The Dodo.

Turbo finally found the loving home he had always dreamed of. His new parents cherish him deeply, and he now lives a life full of joy and affection.
