After Being Abandoned Twice, This Labrador Finally Finds His Furever Family

He went from adoption, to abandonment, and was left in the shelter questioning what he did wrong. This is the story of how he finally found his true forever home.
The Promise of a Forever Home
Wall-E’s journey began with the joy of being adopted in 2015. The prospect of a forever family filled him with ecstasy, a dream come true for any shelter dog.

However, this happiness was short-lived. Due to circumstances beyond his control, Wall-E found himself back at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC), surrendered by the family he thought would be his for life.
The return was heart-wrenching, with Wall-E’s bed, toys, and a shattered heart in tow.
A Family’s Difficult Decision
The decision to return Wall-E to the shelter was not made lightly.
His previous owners were devastated, a sentiment echoed by the shelter’s staff who witnessed the emotional farewell.
The shelter’s Facebook post urged the public not to judge the family harshly, highlighting the heartbreak and difficulty of the decision.
This guy deserves a forever family who won’t give up on him
Please don’t bash his previous owners though. We don’t know the whole story. What we do know is the owner was heartbroken and crying. It was hard to finally help them leave. The staff was crying with the owners. We don’t believe this decision was taken lightly.
Wall-E, confused and scared, was left to wonder what he had done wrong. He kept barking over and over in his kennel, showing his fear and longing for a home.
A Viral Plea for Love
Recognizing Wall-E’s need for a stable and loving environment, the shelter quickly posted his story and a heartbreaking photo of him being surrendered.
The image, showcasing Wall-E surrounded by his belongings, struck a chord worldwide, going viral almost instantly. It reached over 2 millions people!

Lynn was captivated by Wall-E’s charm, and the first interaction between her first dog and Wall-E was perfect! Lynn knew immediately that Wall-E belonged with her.
The connection was undeniable, marking the end of Wall-E’s search for a family and the beginning of his new life.
