This Newborn Pup Was Abandoned On The Street Just For Being Born With A Cleft Lip

A tiny puppy named Gouda was left alone on the street, abandoned simply because she was born with a cleft lip.

Her owner gave her no chance to survive but thankfully, help arrived just in time.

A Rough Start, But A Lot Of Hope

Rescuers found her and brought her to safety.

Because of her cleft lip, Gouda had trouble drinking milk, so they had to use a feeding tube to make sure she got the nutrients she needed.

They stayed by her side, doing everything possible to keep her comfortable and fed, hoping she would grow stronger.

About a week later, Gouda opened her eyes for the first time. Everything was new and exciting to her.

When a rescuer brought her a food bowl—just in case—Gouda surprised everyone by going straight to it and happily digging in.

She made a mess, but no one cared. It was a sign she was getting stronger.

Big Progress And New Start

In just a few weeks, Gouda began to change. Her playful, sweet personality came out, and the rescuers introduced her to other dogs.

She especially loved playing with Etta, a big but gentle dog who became her best buddy. The two spent hours together, and Gouda was full of energy and joy.

As Gouda grew, so did her confidence. She blossomed into a beautiful, happy dog—so it was finally time to find her a forever family.

While her rescuers were a little sad to say goodbye, they were proud of how far she’d come. Gouda had beat the odds and was ready for the next chapter.

She soon met her new family, and it was the perfect match. Gouda is now surrounded by love and living her best life, just like she always deserved.
