Pregnant Pittie Holds Off Labor Until Her New Foster Family Arrives
Storie, a stray Pittie, had lived a difficult life on the streets before she ended up at the Cuyahoga County Kennel in Valley View, Ohio.
To make matters even more challenging, she was heavily pregnant.
Storie wanted a better life for her puppies, and she wasn’t about to let them be born in a cold, lonely shelter.
A Rescue Just In Time
Just when it seemed like Storie would have to give birth at the shelter, Chris and Mariesa, a couple with a passion for rescuing dogs, came to visit.
They had always had a soft spot for pregnant dogs and knew they had to help Storie. Seeing how desperate she was to get out of the shelter, they decided to take her home.
Before heading home, they stopped by the vet, where X-rays revealed that Storie was carrying an incredible 12 puppies!
Chris and Mariesa prepared everything for her, expecting they would have a few days to settle her in before the big moment.
But Storie had different plans.
Just 18 hours after arriving at her new home, Storie began giving birth. Chris and Mariesa were amazed!
One by one, 12 healthy puppies were born, and Storie couldn’t have been happier. Her prayers had been answered—her babies came into the world in a warm, loving home instead of a shelter.
Happy Endings For All
As the weeks passed, Storie’s puppies thrived, and their playful personalities began to show.
The little Pitties brought joy to everyone who met them, and soon, all 12 found loving homes. Even Storie got her own forever family with Chris’ best friend, Ryan.
Though Chris and Mariesa joked about keeping one or two puppies, they ultimately decided to let others share in the joy of raising these precious pups.
Despite her tough start in life, Storie never gave up on her dream of a better life for herself and her pups. Her positive spirit brought her the happy ending she deserved.
Storie and her puppies now have loving families, proving that with hope, anything is possible.
