Neglected Dog Left Alone In Doghouse Finds Joy With New Mom
This is the touching story of Bo, a dog who was cruelly left behind by his owners, confined to a doghouse.
Luckily, kind rescuers came to the rescue and offered him a second chance in life.
Discovering Bo In Dire Straits
Street Dog Rescue in Oklahoma discovered Bo in appalling condition.
Abandoned in a doghouse, Bo had faced numerous health problems and attacks by coyotes without any medical attention.
“Bo was actually attacked by coyotes. He was never taken to a vet or even prior to that. He just had mange all over him.” Faith, one of the rescuers, told The Dodo.
Bo was famished and desperate for affection. The rescuers offered him food, realizing his need for love.
Bo, however, was too frightened to leave his doghouse. When they finally got him out, he crawled right back under it. It took nearly 45 minutes to carefully pull Bo out from under the house.
Bo’s Path To Recovery
Bo was transported to a veterinary clinic where he was treated for mange and malnutrition.
Patricia, who would soon become his new owner, was initially shocked by his appearance when she saw his picture.
“He looked so terrible I didn’t even think he was a dog,” she remarked.
As Bo received medical care, his condition steadily improved. Over several months, he became a much healthier and happier dog.
The rescuers knew he deserved a loving home, and Patricia, experienced with rescue dogs, was the perfect fit.
A Forever Home For Bo
Bo was cautious at first and took about six months to feel at home.
Patricia’s kindness and patience showed him he was safe. He eventually became a happy dog who loved exploring his new environment.
“I just love him and I’m very happy I got him.” Patricia said.
We hope a life full of joy and happiness to both Bo and Patricia!
