Jogger Discovers Pit Bull Tied In The Deep Woods Desperately Crying For Help
Llana, a sweet Pittie, hit rock bottom when his cruel owner abandoned her, tying her up with a two-foot chain in a remote area near the Bronx River Parkway in New York.
Terrified and alone, Llana’s life took a turn for the better when a compassionate jogger stumbled upon her.
Rescuing And Making Llana Feel Secure
One night, while jogging through the woods, a man heard distressed barking coming from the dense foliage. Concerned, he returned the next morning to search for the source of the cries.

After an exhaustive search, he discovered Llana, terrified and chained to a tree, desperate for help.
He reached out to Craig Fields from the New York Bully Crew, a seasoned rescuer, who quickly made his way to the scene.
“A jogger who was running through there the night before heard barking and went back the next day to find our special girl in the dense woods. She was so scared and confused and was acting aggressively because of this. Who could blame her?” wrote NYBC.
Initially, Llana was frantic, barking defensively at Craig. However, he knew the way to her heart.
By calmly offering her food and patiently waiting, Craig helped her realize he meant no harm. Moments later, she relaxed and began to eat from his hand.

Once she was comfortable, Craig successfully placed a leash around her neck and gently guided her into his car.
Though still confused, Llana’s initial shock began to fade. It was as if she instinctively understood that she was now safe.
A Furever Home For Llana
Within just a few weeks, Llana transformed into a whole new dog. With Craig’s help, she quickly acclimated to human interaction, revealing her true personality.

Three months after her rescue, Llana found her dream home—one she had only hoped for!
