A Cold Shelter, A Warm Heart
When a kind woman visited her local shelter, she noticed something heartbreaking right away — a mother dog and her three tiny puppies huddled in a corner, shivering from the cold.

It was winter, and the little family looked scared and helpless. The mom seemed overwhelmed, unable to keep her babies warm or give them the care they needed.
The woman knew she couldn’t walk away. She gently picked up the pups and carried them to her car.

Once the babies were safe, she managed to coax the mama dog to follow. Soon, all four were out of the shelter and on their way to safety.
Healing Begins
Before bringing them home, the woman took the family straight to the vet.

Thankfully, the dogs didn’t have any major health issues — just a treatable illness called anaplasmosis. With proper care, they’d be back on their feet in a few weeks.
Once home, she set up a cozy space with warm bedding, fresh food, and clean water.

When everyone felt a little better, she gave them names: the mom became Geumsoon, and the puppies were named Circle, Red, and Green.
They were only about a month old, full of energy, and growing stronger each day.
The pups ate well, played happily, and adapted quickly. Geumsoon, on the other hand, was still cautious.

She refused to eat when people were nearby — likely a sign of past trauma. But with time and love, she slowly started to trust again.
A few weeks later, things looked completely different. Geumsoon was calm and happy. Her babies had grown into strong little dogs.

Even though they still looked for her milk, she was gently letting them know it was time to move on.
One by one, the puppies found loving forever homes. Geumsoon stayed behind, but she wasn’t sad. She had finally healed — and even felt safe enough to eat in front of her rescuer. Her journey from a freezing kennel to a life full of love was complete.
