Lovely Puppy With Broken Leg Sat Quietly In Bushes Praying For A Kind Person To Rescue Him

This little puppy’s life almost slipped through the cracks—but luck stepped in at just the right time.
He was just a baby, scared and in pain, hiding in some bushes behind an old, abandoned house.
With a broken leg and no one around, he tried his best to stay safe from the dangers of the street.
Found By Pure Chance
One day, a kind man was out walking his dog when something strange happened.
His dog, who was usually quiet, suddenly started barking at the bushes.
That’s when the man noticed a tiny face peeking out from the leaves—nervous and clearly asking for help.

Without hesitation, the man gently scooped the puppy up, held him close, and carried him to safety. He waited with him until Stray Rescue of St. Louis arrived.
Donna Lochmann, one of the rescuers, came quickly to help.
Despite the obvious pain the puppy was in, he was all smiles and tail wags when she got there. He was just happy someone had come.
Off To The Vet
The puppy, who they named BlondeBo, couldn’t walk on his injured front leg, so Donna carried him to the car and said goodbye to the Good Samaritan and the helpful pup who found him.

At the emergency clinic, the team worked hard to save BlondeBo’s leg.

“At first we feared he would need to lose his leg due to nerve damage from dragging it around. But after some time, he started regaining feeling and using the leg more. We are going to watch him and see how much use he is able to regain in that leg,” the rescue shared on Facebook.
A Brighter Future
After spending a week at the hospital, BlondeBo was strong enough to leave and go to a medical foster home to continue healing.

His foster mom was thrilled with his progress. He loved rolling around in the grass and had already started walking—even if a little wobbly.
Thanks to one dog’s curiosity, a stranger’s kindness, and a rescue team that never gives up, this sweet little pup is now on the road to a happy, healthy life.
