Dog Abandoned By Cruel Owners Found Struggling To Survive In Deserted Wetland
Heartless owners continue to abandon innocent animals, leaving them to suffer alone.
One such case in South Florida shocked everyone, highlighting the harsh reality of pet abandonment.
A Cruel Act Of Neglect
On a cold February day, a couple driving through the Florida Everglades in Broward County noticed something heartbreaking.

The poor pup was filthy, severely malnourished, and unwilling to make eye contact.
It was clear he had been dumped, left to fend for himself with no hope of survival. Days of starvation had pushed him to the brink of giving up entirely.
Knowing time was running out, the couple desperately sought help. For four long hours, they made countless calls, but no one responded.
Just when all seemed lost, the police arrived.
“We were calling all the rescuers and organizations for four full hours, but nobody responded,” the couple shared. “In the end, police came.“
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office arrived to handle what was described as an “extreme case of abuse.”

One officer immediately showed kindness, offering the dog food and water to give him enough strength for the journey.
Though Powder, as they named him, slowly began to trust them, his body was so weak that he couldn’t even stand. Transporting him was a challenge, but the officers refused to give up.

The Aftermath Of Abuse
Once Powder was stabilized, deputies reached out to Dezzy’s Second Chance Animal Rescue. Without hesitation, they stepped in to help.

Sandra Dezelen, the founder, took Powder into emergency care. She immediately saw the extent of his suffering and knew his road to recovery would be long.
Medical tests confirmed he had a severe infection, leaving his skin red and inflamed.
A visit to Dr. Rob Schneider, a specialist, revealed that Powder had Entropia, a painful condition requiring surgery on both eyes.

A New Beginning Filled With Love
Despite the trauma he endured, Powder finally found himself surrounded by love and care.
With the dedication of Dezzy’s Second Chance, his skin healed, and his eye surgery was a success.
He gained four pounds, his energy returned, and his playful spirit began to shine through once more.

Though no official announcement was made, Sandra later confirmed on Facebook that Powder had been adopted.
