A Lovely Pup Was Set For Euthanasia Until This Woman Stepped In
Alone in his kennel and scheduled to be put down due to his health condition, Noodle faced an uncertain fate with no one willing to give him a home.
Little did he know, a kind-hearted woman was about to change his life for the better.
Saving Noodle From Euthanasia
Noodle, a stray dog taken to a Detroit shelter, suffered from a degenerative brain disease that caused him to lose consciousness and wobble. Despite his sweet nature, no one claimed him, and he remained unwanted at the shelter.
After Noodle’s stray hold expired, the vet recommended euthanasia, which was scheduled for the next day.
That night, Tiffany Perkins, the founder of PAWS Friend Network, heard about Noodle. Unable to sleep, she thought of him constantly. Her organization is a small sanctuary that advocates for paraplegic, amputee, wheelchair, and senior shelter dogs.
In the morning, she rushed to rescue him.
An Immediate Bond
Tiffany took Noodle to her home in Detroit, where she immediately fell in love with him.
The bond was instant, and she knew he was meant to stay with her. Noodle was affectionate and sweet, and he quickly formed a friendship with her other dog, Luke.
Understanding Noodle’s condition, Tiffany committed to giving him the best life possible. Since Noodle was underweight, likely from living on the streets for weeks, she put him on a special diet, helping him gain weight and strength.
Noodle’s condition caused him to faint when excited, so Tiffany focused on creating a calm and predictable environment for him. She lowered her bed so he could easily climb in and out and placed a couch by the window so Noodle and Luke could watch the world outside.
“Seeing him happy and seeing the world out of his window is one of the greatest joys that I’ve ever had in my life,” she shared.
Noodle loved to snuggle with his mom and brother, especially when it rained. He always felt safe and cherished in their warm embrace.
Happy Together
Noodle frequently enjoyed walks and trips to the beach, where his eyes sparkled with happiness. With a huge smile, he loved the beach views.
Tiffany describes Noodle as “the biggest, sweetest marshmallow.” She feels grateful for his presence, as he helped her through a tough time following the loss of her previous dog.
“We were grieving the loss of our previous dog, and he really helped heal us through that process,” Tiffany said. “He’s just such a big teddy bear.”
Noodle’s kindness and sweetness brought healing and joy to her life.
