Starving Great Dane Survived On Rocks Until His Last-Minute Rescue
Angelo is a Great Dane pup who has endured the worst.
Alone on the streets of Egypt and starving, he survived by eating stones. This unfortunately put his life in great danger, and when he was found by a rescue volunteer, he was on the verge of death.
Fortunately, he was rescued in time and his life took a bright turn.
Angelo Was About To Die
Angelo, a Great Dane puppy, was found on the streets of Egypt, in dire condition.

He was severely malnourished and could no longer stand, having consumed stones to stave off hunger.
This dangerous situation had filled his stomach, preventing him from eating or even pooping, and required urgent medical attention.
A Shelter Came To The Rescue Just In Time
Hanan from Furever Rescue Foster couldn’t ignore Angelo’s plight.
Recognizing the urgency, she managed to get Angelo the necessary surgery to remove the stones from his stomach.
“The stones had stopped his digestive system from working, so had he had any food, it wouldn’t have done him any good,” she told WiltshireLive.

But recovery didn’t end with surgery; Angelo needed extensive care including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and a specialized diet, all of which came with high costs.
A Worldwide Mission
When Justin Finning and his wife, Deborah, saw Angelo’s story and his photograph on social media, they were moved to action.
Already experienced in rescuing Great Danes, particularly those with special needs, they saw a kindred spirit in Angelo.
Despite the challenge of Angelo being in another country and unable to travel until he could recover from his surgery, they committed to his cause.
They spearheaded a fundraising campaign to cover his medical bills and recovery process.
A New Life In A Loving Family
After his successful surgery and initial recovery, Angelo was finally able to fly to his forever home in the UK.

Hanan celebrated this milestone with a heartwarming update on Facebook, thanking Justin and Deborah for embracing Angelo into their lives and their small paradise.
In his new home, Angelo’s transformation was nothing short of miraculous.

Under the care of Justin and Deborah, who regularly took him to therapy sessions, Angelo blossomed into a vibrant, energetic dog.
He now enjoys running and playing in his spacious backyard, visiting the beach with his family, and being the center of attention.
