Newborn Pup Was Lost Without Her Mom Until Someone Amazing Stepped In To Help

Shramp’s story began in Texas when she was found in a heartbreaking condition.

Rejected by her mother, this newborn puppy was left helpless and in desperate need of care.

Her rescuer immediately stepped in to give her the second chance she so badly needed.

A Rough Start

Shramp’s situation was dire when her rescuer found her.

Her eye was visibly damaged, possibly from an ulcer, and she was so malnourished that her exact age was hard to determine.

The vet estimated her to be about two weeks old. To make things even worse, Shramp had multiple wounds and injuries that required urgent treatment.

The rescuer’s first step was to ensure Shramp was fed and cared for around the clock.

The fragile pup needed constant attention to survive, and her rescuer was ready to provide the love and care she had been missing.

A Fighting Spirit

With each passing day, Shramp began to show signs of improvement. Her determination to survive was clear, and her joyful spirit started to shine through.

To make her feel more comfortable, her rescuer set up a cozy little kennel for her to nap in, which Shramp quickly grew to love.

Eleven days after being rescued, Shramp had her first veterinary checkup.

While the inflammation in her eye had decreased, the vet suspected she might have anterior synechiae, a condition affecting her vision. Additionally, Shramp was diagnosed with a small hernia and possibly hydrocephalus.

Despite these challenges, Shramp continued her recovery at home, surrounded by love.

One of Shramp’s biggest supporters was Theodore Charleston, a dog in the household who became her constant companion.

Though Theodore couldn’t always keep up with Shramp’s puppy energy, he was always by her side, watching over her like a big brother.

A New Beginning

As Shramp grew stronger, she received her first vaccination and was finally able to meet the other dogs in the house.

Her bubbly personality won them all over, and she quickly became a beloved member of her furry family.

But Shramp’s journey wasn’t without challenges. The vet determined that her damaged eye needed to be removed to ensure her long-term health.

Although the surgery was tough, Shramp bounced back with incredible resilience. Within days, she was back to her playful, happy self, enjoying games and cuddles with her rescuer and her canine siblings.
