When Loreta Frankonyte and her rescue team learned about a stray dog running loose on the streets of California, they knew they had to act quickly.
The dog’s fear of people and her unpredictable movements posed a serious risk, especially if she wandered near roads.
They set out immediately, and soon after arrival, spotted the pup.

But as soon as she saw them, the frightened dog bolted. She ran as far as she could, too terrified to understand the rescuers’ intentions.
Word was that another dog had been seen nearby, but someone had already managed to secure him.
A Joyful Reunion
The rescuers followed her as long as possible, trying not to lose hope.
Finally, the pup stopped running in a park, giving them a chance to approach.
