Stunning White Husky Spent Days Tied To A Pole Until Kind Rescuers Finally Stepped In

In the streets of Santa Monica, California, a young white Husky named Buckley lived a hard life.

Only six months old, he was always tied up, and homeless people would often harass him.

But despite it all, Buckley never stopped smiling. Deep down, he held onto the hope that someone kind would come to his rescue.

A New Beginning

One day, that hope came true. A local rescuer happened to walk by and saw Buckley tied to a fence.

She was shocked that such a beautiful dog had been left to suffer like that. Without hesitation, she acted fast—and soon, Buckley was safe with the team at Love Leo Rescue.

Everyone who met him was amazed at how sweet and joyful he still was.

Buckley is an exceptional dog,” said Love Leo Rescue director Sasha Abelson to The Dodo. “He is well balanced and loving and didn’t let his previous experiences change his lovely personality.”

The team gave him all the love and care he needed.

In return, Buckley lit up the place with his cheerful spirit. He brought smiles to the faces of everyone around him.

It didn’t take long for a foster home to open up, and Buckley was off to start a brand-new chapter.

Finding Comfort In A Foster Home

Angela, a kind woman who learned about Buckley’s story, felt an instant connection. Her heart broke for him, and she stepped up to be his foster mom.

They bonded quickly. Buckley was thrilled with his new life—one filled with playtime, hikes, and warm cuddles.

Buckley is a typical, happy-go-lucky husky,” Abelson shared. “He loves playing with his dog friends and learning new skills. He loves going for hikes and also cuddling near his humans. He is just a perfect family dog.”

But Buckley didn’t just receive love—he gave it, too.

Angela, who had been dealing with PTSD, found unexpected comfort in this happy pup.

Buckley is such a great dog! He is our foster who has helped me in my recovery with PTSD. He needs to be active and needs routine…which turns out is part of what I need too,” Angela wrote on Instagram.

A Happy Ending At Last

Buckley continued to thrive in his foster home, but he was still waiting for the right family. The rescue team knew he deserved a home where he could be active, loved, and truly happy.

After months of searching and hoping, his wait finally came to an end.

After months of searching in Los Angeles, he finally found the most perfect family in Oregon to give him the love, attention and exercise he so deserves,” the rescue team shared on Facebook.

Buckley’s journey from a neglected pup to a beloved companion was finally complete.
