Atlanta Vet Worker Left Heartbroken After Owner Leaves Lovely Pup At Clinic For 3 Days

A two-month-old puppy was taken to a vet clinic for an appointment. But when it was time to go home, his owner never came back.

Dominique Humphries, a vet assistant in Atlanta, shared the story on TikTok after the puppy’s owner vanished without explanation.

The young Pit Bull and Labrador mix had been brought in for a routine appointment. But when the checkup was over, no one came to get him.

Dominique tried reaching out several times, and each time the owner claimed they were on the way—but they never showed.

“The owner didn’t want to pick up the dog because they were scared of losing him to a health issue, even though the doctor told them before that the dog was fine. They just got up and left the dog in the exam room, and we didn’t hear from them until the next day,” she told Newsweek.

While the puppy waited, the vet staff made sure he felt loved. Dominique described him as super friendly and playful, always eager to interact with people.

The team gave him extra attention, even spending their lunch breaks with him to keep his spirits up.

Her video quickly spread online, with thousands of dog lovers heartbroken over the abandoned pup and praising the staff for their kindness.

A Return Without Answers

After three days, the owner finally came back to pick him up.

Unfortunately, Dominique was working with another dog and didn’t get the chance to speak with them.

“They came to get the dog on the third day of it being at my clinic, which definitely made me sad because I feel like the patient deserves a better home. I have not heard from the owner since, and I’m fearful but also don’t want to know if something happened to the dog,” she said.

Many viewers believed the puppy deserved a more caring family, but Dominique had to follow clinic rules.

“I wish there was more that I could’ve done for him, but I have to follow protocols from the hospital. I hope he’s doing great, but if I do have an update later on, I will keep everyone posted,” she concluded.
