Sweet Mama Dog Enjoys Holding Hands While Looking After Her Puppies

Kerry, an adorable and very pregnant dog, was found hiding under a parked car.

She was gently lured out and taken to a shelter, where she soon gave birth to five of the cutest puppies ever!

A Timely Rescue

Hearts & Bones Rescue, a non-profit dog rescue organization, quickly stepped in to help Kerry and her new family.

When they arrived at the Hearts & Bones shelter, it didn’t take long for Kerry and her pups to settle in. Grateful to be off the streets, Kerry couldn’t stop showing her appreciation to everyone around.

“Kerry is incredibly resilient and seemed happy to have a safe place to care for her pups,” said Katherine Hieber of Hearts & Bones Rescue shared with The Dodo.

Kerry Is The Most Pawdorable Mamma

Kerry quickly adapted to her new environment, loving the attention and care she and her puppies received.

Despite being an amazing mom, she trusted the shelter staff completely with her babies. She even enjoyed having a human companion while nursing, often holding their hand with her paw.

Kerry’s affectionate nature shone through as she showered everyone with kisses and paw shakes. She wasn’t overly protective and allowed the staff to handle her puppies for regular weigh-ins to ensure they were healthy and growing well.

Her dedication to her puppies was clear. Even when she went outside for a break, she rushed back to be with them, not wanting to be away for too long.

In Process Of Adoption

Thanks to the efforts of Hearts & Bones Rescue, Kerry and her puppies were soon placed in a loving foster home in New York City. In this safe and nurturing environment, the puppies could grow strong and healthy.
