EMT Rescues A Sweet Pup In Need On His Way To The Hospital

At just 12 weeks old, Sammy’s life took a heartbreaking turn when her owner passed away, leaving her scared and alone.

But her story took a hopeful twist when two compassionate EMTs discovered her and decided to give her the second chance she deserved.

The little pup was heartbroken, having lost the only family she had ever known. But thankfully, her story didn’t end there. Two EMTs in Fort Worth, Texas, came across Sammy’s sad situation and knew they had to help.

Tegan Silva, one of the EMTs, recalled the moment she saw Sammy with The Dodo, “I noticed the puppy cuddled up next to the patient, so I picked her up. The puppy was crying in my arms.”

Sammy was scared and didn’t want to leave her owner’s side, but there was no other choice.

A Heartfelt Rescue

Kirk, the other EMT, quickly realized that Sammy would either end up in a shelter or need a new home. He and Tegan decided to give her a new life instead.

As they cleaned her up and gave her water, they made sure she felt safe and cared for.

In a sweet turn of events, Kirk’s girlfriend volunteered to watch over Sammy while they worked, and by the end of the night, Sammy had found her forever home.

A New Beginning

Kirk decided to adopt Sammy and bring her into his family. Sammy quickly adjusted to her new life, gaining a big sister named Kaley to play with.

“She is now Kirk’s dog and has a big sister named Kaley. She is very playful and loves to run with her. She is loving life,” Silva shared.

Although Sammy is still small, she confidently holds her own with Kaley, and the two have become inseparable.

Despite the heartbreak she experienced early in life, Sammy now has a loving home and a family that adores her.
