Lovely 2 Legged Pup Hopping Like A Bunny Became Foster Dad To A Litter Of Puppies

A call came in about a newborn Boxer puppy with no front legs.

Lou didn’t hesitate for a second. She got up, left what she was doing, and went to meet him.

Her husband Mark didn’t realize what was happening until the tiny pup was in his arms. Right then, he understood they were going to do everything they could to help him grow strong and happy.

They named him Nubby, and he was officially part of the family.

The First Night Was Tough

That first night wasn’t easy.

Nubby needed constant care, and Lou and Mark took turns getting up every hour.

Our first night with Nubby was horrible. We got up every hour. You know, we took turns. I had twins, I’m used to taking one shift,” Mark shared with The Dodo.

Soon, things took a turn.

Nubby became weaker and had to be taken to the ICU. He was in serious condition.

But this little pup showed everyone how strong he was. He pulled through and made it back home.

Finding His Own Way

To help him move around, Lou and Mark made a small wheelchair out of LEGO bricks.

As soon as they placed him in it, Nubby started scooting across the floor. He was full of life and didn’t seem to notice he was different.

Every day, his parents worked on helping him grow stronger. They turned exercises into fun moments, and eventually, Nubby learned to stand on his back legs.

Before long, he figured out how to hop and move around all on his own.

His family said it best. “This is how I do it. This is how I roll.

They tried to give him proper wheelchairs, but Nubby wasn’t a fan. He preferred his own way of getting around.

Still, with encouragement and treats, he agreed to use them once in a while.

The Best Big Brother

As Nubby grew, his world got even bigger.

Lou and Mark rescued a pregnant dog and welcomed her into their home. When she gave birth to six puppies, Nubby was overjoyed.

He became the perfect big brother. He played gently, kept an eye on the little ones, and brought joy to everyone around him.

It was clear that Nubby was not only full of courage, but also full of love.

He showed everyone that being different doesn’t mean being less. Nubby lives with joy, strength, and a heart full of hope.

It doesn’t matter how many legs he has, where he is at, he is just happy. Just because you have a limb difference, or just because you are different, period, doesn’t mean that you don’t have a quality of life, and he teaches that every single day. He doesn’t give up… He gives hope to a lot of people,” said Lou and Mark.
