Grieving Dog Who Lost All Of Her Friends In A Hoarding Situation Dreams Of Being Adopted

Some dogs have it rough from the very start, and Shyla was one of them.
She never got the chance to know what a real home felt like. But just when everything seemed to fall apart, something unexpected happened.
Shyla’s Life Was Anything But Easy
Shyla didn’t grow up in the warm and loving home every dog deserves.

Instead, she spent her early life in a backyard full of other neglected dogs, used for breeding and surrounded by chaos.
When the situation was finally discovered, the dogs were taken to an overcrowded shelter in Houston — but sadly, Shyla was the only one who made it out.

Just when it seemed like things might get better, Shyla’s name ended up on the euthanasia list. The shelter was too full, and her time was up.
But in a last-minute act of kindness, a foster stepped in just five minutes before the deadline and saved her life.
“She was saved because a foster was able to get her five minutes after the deadline,” Chelsea Domaleski, a shelter volunteer, said to The Dodo.
Still Waiting For Her Happy Ending
Although she was safe for now, Shyla’s journey wasn’t over.
After only a month, her foster couldn’t care for her anymore, and she had to be moved again — this time to a boarding facility, where two kind people are covering her expenses.

But they can’t afford it forever, and Shyla urgently needs a new foster or, even better, a forever home.
Despite everything she’s been through, Shyla remains full of love. She’s friendly, cuddly, and loves being around people and other dogs. She enjoys walks and lying in the sun with her furry friends.

Right now, she’s healing from heartworm and needs a calm place to recover.
Going back to the shelter would likely be the end for her — but with a little help, her story could still have a happy ending.
If you can offer her a foster home or support her recovery, you’ll find more info on GoFundMe.
