Fireman Rescues Puppy Stuck In Concrete And Instantly Fall For Each Other
A scared puppy named Rocky was trapped under a pile of concrete and dirt, not knowing that he was about to be saved and find a loving home all in one day.
All alone in the darkness of his tiny prison, Rocky saw a friendly human hand reaching out to him.
At that moment, he knew everything would be okay.
Rescuing Rocky From His Trap
A family biking in South Carolina heard Rocky yelping from beneath the concrete. Shocked by the sight of the struggling pup, they immediately called 9-1-1.

The North Charleston Fire Department, along with the police, responded quickly. Upon arrival, they realized the hole leading to Rocky was too small for a direct rescue.

Captain Paul Bryant had a plan. He grabbed a shovel and started digging to widen the space. After a few minutes of hard work, Bryant managed to coax Rocky close enough to grab his front paws and pull him out safely.

No one knew how long Rocky had been trapped, but his immediate reaction was to shower Bryant with grateful kisses as if he were thanking him.
From Rescuer To Adopter
Rocky was taken to the Charleston Animal Society to check for a microchip, but none was found.

Upon learning that the puppy had no family, Bryant did something incredible. He went to the shelter and applied to adopt Rocky, having fallen in love with him at first sight.
“How can you not fall in love with him? You pull him out of the little rubble that he’s in and the first thing he does is kisses you on the face,” Bryant said.
A few days later, Bryant received the good news: he was approved to adopt Rocky. Overjoyed, he couldn’t wait to take Rocky home for the first time.

“I want him. He’s my dog. It’s meant to be. Luckily, about a week later, I get a phone call that says, ‘Okay, you’re on the list, you’re the number one!’ So I found out I was gonna be able to adopt him.”
Living Their Best Life Together
Rocky was ecstatic to see his savior again.
He repeated his rescue-day ritual of showering Bryant with kisses, only this time, it was to celebrate going home with his forever human.

Together, they enjoy playing fetch, taking long walks in nature, and sharing countless moments of joy. Rocky, now a big boy, continues to give the cutest kisses to his best human in the world.
