Dumped Dog Has The Sweetest Reaction After Being Found In The Woods
This is the story of a dog who was found alone in the woods, probably abandoned here by her family.
To save her, restoring her faith in humans first was necessary.
Fortunately, the rescuer handled the situation skilfully.
Zoomie Was Dumped In The Woods
Zoomie, a four-month-old pup, was abandoned in the woods of Othello, Washington.

For a week, she survived by drinking from a nearby stream and taking shelter under olive trees. She waited, hoping someone would come to her rescue.
One day, a kind driver noticed Zoomie resting under the trees and started feeding her burritos whenever he passed by. Concerned for her well-being, he contacted Adams County Pet Rescue.
Rescuing Zoomie
Kayya Grant, the director of Adams County Pet Rescue, responded to the call. She and a rescue employee headed to the site with a crate, hoping to bring Zoomie to safety.
When they arrived, Zoomie barked nervously, frightened by their presence. Grant decided to earn her trust before attempting to crate her, not wanting to scare the puppy even more.

She spoke gently to Zoomie, assuring her that everything would be fine. Despite the reassurances, Zoomie remained cautious and distrustful.
Earning Her Trust First
Grant left some kibble on the ground, and Zoomie slowly approached, taking tentative steps toward the food.
As she ate, Grant tenderly stroked her head, and Zoomie responded by resting her head in Grant’s hands, a sweet expression on her face. It was a clear sign that she was beginning to trust her rescuer.
Grant left Zoomie there for the night and returned the next morning. This time, Zoomie was overjoyed to see her. She bounced around in excitement, earning her the name Zoomie.
Safe And Adopted By A Loving Family
Zoomie allowed Grant to pick her up and place her in the crate. She was finally ready to go to a safe place.

At the rescue, Zoomie received medical care and was introduced to a calm dog who became her friend, helping her relax and adjust to her new environment.
It wasn’t long before Zoomie was ready to find her forever home. Her new parents fell in love with her at first sight. They filled out an adoption application, and Zoomie left the rescue in their arms.
