Deaf Mama Dog And Her Blind Puppy Abandoned But Not Forgotten

When a deaf dog named Mama Storm and her blind puppy, Puddles, were found abandoned by a dangerous riverbank, they were terrified and alone.

Their only comfort was each other—Storm was her puppy’s eyes, and Puddles was her mother’s ears.

Their desperate situation seemed hopeless, but everything was about to change.

A Heartbreaking Discovery

Prue, a passionate animal rescuer with Mission Pawsible, was horrified when she discovered Storm and Puddles. It was unthinkable to see dogs abandoned in such perilous and uncaring conditions.

“It’s truly unbelievable how I can continue to stumble upon abandoned animals in the most confusing locations,” Prue shared on Instagram.

Alongside a team of volunteers, Prue launched a swift rescue mission.

Puddles, though wary and frightened, froze in place, making it possible for rescuers to secure him safely. Storm, devastated and unresponsive, gazed down the river, her spirit seemingly broken.

She showed no resistance when handled, as if she understood help had finally come.

The rescue team brought the pair to Prue’s home, where she fostered other dogs in need.

But for Storm and Puddles, acclimating to a safe environment was a slow process, requiring extra care and understanding.

A Fresh Start With New Friends

Tara, an experienced rescuer in Florida, offered her home to Storm and Puddles. Her daughter, Raven, eagerly welcomed the duo, and together they created a safe, loving space for the dogs to flourish.

Under their care, Storm and Puddles transformed. Within weeks, they adapted to their new environment and showed their playful, loving personalities.

Then came life-changing news—Mama Storm found her forever family. She now lives as the cherished princess of her household, enjoying the company of her new family, including her cat siblings.

“She found an incredible home where she is now the little princess,” Prue joyfully shared with Cuddle Buddies.

Puddles’ Journey To Peace

Puddles’ path to adoption was more challenging. His partial blindness required time and patience to build trust, but his foster family loved him wholeheartedly.

Over time, he became a playful, affectionate companion.

“Puddles is a huge love muffin. Dopey, clumsy, and oh so lovable,” Mission Pawsible wrote on Instagram. “Once he knows your voice, smell, and touch, he will be your couch cuddler for life.“

Eventually, Tara and Raven decided to make Puddles a permanent member of their family. He now thrives in their care, enjoying car rides, adventures, and endless love.
