When Chris from Paw Squadron Rescue heard about a puppy in trouble, he didn’t wait. He and his partner got in the car and headed over right away, ready to help.

At first, they didn’t see the puppy anywhere—but just as they were about to give up, they spotted the tiny pup hiding in a pile of trash.

Found Just In Time

The little pup was trembling with fear, and he was in terrible condition—filthy, undernourished, and dehydrated. Chris arrived just in time to save him. Another week on the streets could have been fatal.

Chris approached the puppy slowly, gently offering him treats from his hand in an attempt to gain his trust. Fortunately, the puppy was responsive and very hungry, so he began eating right away.

After the puppy finished eating, Chris gently picked him up and carried him to the car, making sure he was as comfortable as possible and offering him some water.

Despite continuing to tremble, the puppy was so exhausted that he eventually fell asleep in Chris’s lap. This was a good sign, as it meant the puppy felt safe and secure enough to let his guard down.

A Safe Place To Start Over

Once they arrived home, Chris gave the puppy a much-needed bath. The little guy was so dirty that it took a long time to get him clean, but he didn’t mind the warm water at all.

Now clean and more comfortable, the puppy began to explore his new surroundings with curiosity.

Seeing how happy the puppy was, Chris knew the pup understood he was in good hands. The puppy even started wagging his tail in excitement!

The next day, Chris took him to the vet for a complete checkup.
