Shelter Dog Scheduled For Euthanasia Ends Up Finding His Perfect Family
Logan has always had a gentle soul. Whether it was his dog family or the humans he hadn’t met yet, he was born to care and belong.
He was found as a stray in Texas, not alone but with a pregnant dog by his side—his mate. Logan stayed close while she gave birth, refusing to leave her.

“He knows when my hiking bag comes out and he just gets excited,” Alison said to GeoBeats Animals.

Logan’s family didn’t stop at one rescue. Soon, they welcomed another pup named Phoenix and two cats, Milo and Lucy.

Phoenix, according to Alison, is a joyful bundle of love, unaware she was ever rescued. She and Logan became best friends in no time.
When Alison’s husband goes on work trips, Logan becomes the quiet guardian of the home. He watches the door, stays alert, and keeps his little family safe.
“It’s like Logan thinks he works for my husband,” Alison said with a laugh.

Since being adopted, Logan has sniffed countless new trails, explored new places, and soaked in the love of his forever family.
He’s gone from a stray with no future to a dog whose life is now filled with joy, purpose, and companionship.
“From a stray on the streets of Texas, to the euthanasia list in a shelter, to the wonderful people and rescue that got him to us… my world is a tremendously better place for having Logan in it,” Alison shared on Instagram.
