For one starving pup, risking it all to stop a moving car was his only hope for food and compassion.

Love Furry Friends, a small rescue founded by Olena, is dedicated to helping abandoned and stray animals. With a heart full of compassion, Olena works tirelessly to provide care, love, and hope to as many animals as possible.

The area she lives in is home to more than 20,000 stray dogs, and the situation worsens each year.

Overcrowded shelters leave many dogs to endure harsh winters, scorching summers, and a life of endless struggle on the streets.

Though Olena cannot physically house them all, she refuses to stand idly by. She brings food, water, and medical care to as many strays as she can, even ensuring they are spayed and neutered to prevent further suffering.

“I want to set an example to others to care for animals and to not be afraid to open your arms for help and love,” Olena shares on her YouTube channel.

Filling Hungry Stomachs

One day, while driving, Olena encountered a desperate dog running toward her car. Without hesitation, she stopped and stepped out with food.

But then, another dog slowly approached, his sad eyes pleading for kindness.

While the first dog eagerly accepted her affection, the second kept his distance, wary but unable to resist the kibble she poured for them.

Living in an abandoned area, these dogs had little hope of finding regular meals, relying entirely on rare acts of kindness like this.

Olena also gave them water, ensuring they were hydrated before she moved on.

The wary dog remained cautious, retreating quickly after eating, but Olena’s gesture meant they wouldn’t sleep hungry that night.
