Man Adopts Adorable Pitbull-Mix Puppy After Saving Him From Dying

Joey Wagner, a part-time volunteer at BSM Animal Society from Nova Scotia Canada, quickly took action after receiving a call about a dog in critical condition.

The Pitbull-mix puppy was about to die as he was suffering from mange and worse, had been severely abused and neglected.

Joey thankfully rescues him just in time, but their story together doesn’t end there.

Mojo Was Rescued In The Nick Of Time

Mojo, a Pittie-mix puppy, was in dire straits suffering from severe dehydration and mange when Joey found him.

The condition, caused by mites, had led Mojo to lose all his hair. Joey quickly took him to the hospital for the urgent care he desperately needed.

Despite the interest from many potential adopters, Mojo had to remain at the hospital for recovery, delaying any immediate adoption plans.

A Moving Reunion At The Hospital

As Mojo began to recover, Joey was there every step of the way and was first in line to officially adopt him when he was well enough.

The bond between Joey and Mojo was obvious, particularly when Mojo rushed into Joey’s arms with clear affection during their hospital reunion.

This heartwarming moment was a sign that Joey was the perfect match for him, bringing joy not only to Joey but also to the hospital staff who cared for Mojo.

Mojo Was Welcomed Into A Loving Home

Joey and his wife, both dedicated dog lovers, welcomed Mojo into what could only be described as a canine paradise.

Their home, already occupied by several other dogs, was perfectly suited for Mojo’s sociable nature.

Quickly, Mojo adapted to his new family, thriving in the loving environment provided by the Wagners.

A Cherished Memory

After years of a joyful life with the Wagners, Mojo sadly passed away from cancer in 2022.

Joey shared the news of Mojo’s passing on Facebook, reflecting on the last moments with his beloved dog.

“Mojo had a cancer tumor on one of his heart arteries… I made sure he had water, and off I went to do some work outside…not realizing that would be the last time I talked to my boy….2 to 3 hours later I come in to check on the boys and Mo had passed…..laying on the floor two feet from his bed.”

Now, they remember him not just for the challenges he overcame, but for the joy and affection he brought into their lives.

And despite the pain of losing Mojo, Joey celebrated his impact on their lives, emphasizing that his legacy would live on forever.

“It’s soon going to be a year since he left us. Missing him is hard. But, so happy he was in all of our lives. He was a legend…..and none can ever take that away from him….his legacy will live forever.”

Rest in peace, Mojo; your spirit remains a lasting presence.
