Long-Suffering Rescue Dog Tries To Reach Out To People With Her Paws Through The Bars

Eden is a lovely pup with a kind spirit who suffered a lot.

Living under a tree for way too long without anyone knowing her story, passersby come along from time to time to offer him a moment of kindness or some food.

Until the day a generous helper saves her from this fate, putting an end to her suffering with a caring family.

A Tough Life Under A Tree

Eden’s story begins in a lonely and harsh reality, living under a tree with no one to claim her.

Passersby occasionally offered brief moments of kindness with pets, water, and kibble, but it was barely enough to survive.

Eden became a painfully thin shadow of herself, enduring cold, scary nights alone, filled with the hope that someone would return for her.

A Rescuer Steps In

Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue in Irvine, California, learned of Eden’s critical situation and immediately set out to rescue her.

“For weeks and weeks, she was under that tree. She wouldn’t leave.” Suzette told The Dodo.

Upon meeting Suzette, Eden’s spirit shone through her weakened body, greeting her rescuer with wiggles and kisses.

It was clear Eden was ready to leave her life of misery under the tree for a chance at a fresh start.

Recovery At The Hospital

Eden’s journey to recovery began at Camino Pet Hospital in Orange County, California, where she received medical care for her severe undernourishment and skin condition.

With her own bed, fresh water, and nutritious food, Eden started to heal and show her affectionate personality.

Her desire for love was so strong that she reached out her paw to anyone passing by her kennel, longing for a gentle touch.

“She’ll hold your hand and then make the sweetest howl ever, as if she’s saying, ‘I love you’,” said Suzette. “Thank you for noticing me.”

A Second Chance At Happiness

Although Eden was not comfortable around other dogs, her loving nature captured the hearts of many, including a family that knew she was meant to be theirs.
