After Days Trapped In An Abandoned School, Pit Bull’s First Hug Is Pure Joy

A pit bull named Ollie found himself trapped inside an abandoned Missouri school for days, desperately waiting for someone to rescue him.

Alone in the empty building, Ollie had no food, water, or a comfortable place to rest.

Yet, even in such a dire situation, he never lost hope.

Waiting Patiently To Be Saved

For days, Ollie patiently waited by a broken second-story window, peering out in search of a savior.

That’s when Donna Lochmann, a dedicated rescuer from Stray Rescue of St. Louis, spotted him. She knew right away that she had to help this poor pup.

When Donna entered the abandoned school, she was shocked to find Ollie living in a mess of trash and broken glass.

As Donna approached him, she was amazed by his reaction. Instead of being scared or aggressive, Ollie melted into her arms, relieved that someone had finally come to save him.

“You could tell it wasn’t an aggressive stance at all. This dog ended up not having an aggressive bone in his body,” Donna shared with The Dodo.

Ollie’s gentle nature shone through as he allowed Donna to leash him without any hesitation.

Grateful for the attention and love, Ollie cuddled with his rescuer before being safely lowered out of the building and taken to the rescue facility.

Adored By The Shelter Volunteers And... By His New Fam!

Thankfully, Ollie was in good health despite his ordeal.

He quickly became a favorite at the shelter, charming everyone with his sweet personality.

It wasn’t long before his story caught the attention of a couple named Cassie and her partner, who knew instantly that Ollie was meant to be part of their family.

When Ollie met his new parents, the connection was undeniable. He was overjoyed to leave his past behind and start a new chapter filled with love and happiness.

Today, Ollie is thriving in his forever home, enjoying daily walks, belly rubs, and plenty of cuddles with his new family. Once trapped and alone, Ollie is now living the life he always deserved.
