A Pittie Was Dumped Alone On The Side Of A Road With Only A Bag Of Food

A Good Samaritan came across Bluu, a young pit bull, abandoned by the side of the road in Kentucky. She was left alone for several days with nothing but a bag of dog food beside her.

This kind-hearted person immediately contacted a local animal shelter to come to the rescue.

Bluu was swiftly taken in by the shelter, where she received the medical attention she needed.

After being nursed back to health, the shelter contacted their partners at Muddy Paws Rescue in New York City to help find Bluu a foster home. Muddy Paws Rescue works with several shelters in the South to make room for more dogs needing care.

“We don’t know what circumstances led to Bluu ending up there, but we’re so happy that she forgot all about her past when she made it to us at the end of April,” Muddy Paws Rescue shared on their blog.

Bluu soon met her new foster dad, David, who was fostering for the first time. Despite his initial nerves, David was immediately enchanted by Bluu and gave her a warm welcome.

“He was nervous, but we gave him everything he needed to be comfortable and give Bluu the best transition into the city. Together, Bluu and her foster learned how to care for each other,” the rescue wrote on Facebook.

Blossoming In Foster Care

Under David’s care, Bluu learned how to navigate city life, climb stairs, and enjoy cuddles. She gradually transformed back into the playful, carefree puppy she was always meant to be.

“Bluu was the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dog. Her huge human eyes speak to you, and from the moment we met, she was a dream!” David shared with the rescue.

Bluu didn’t let her past hardships define her. She blossomed into a sweet and charming dog that everyone fell in love with.

Finding Her Forever Family

After some time in foster care, Bluu was ready for her forever home. Her story attracted a lot of attention, even catching the eye of actor Justin Theroux, who was so captivated by her that he visited an adoption event in Central Park just to meet her.

However, Bluu’s perfect match turned out to be a woman named Nafitha, her son, and their dog Oreo, also a Muddy Paws Rescue alumnus. They attended the adoption event and instantly clicked with Bluu.

While searching for a sibling for Oreo, Nafitha saw Bluu’s picture on the Muddy Paws Rescue website and immediately felt she would be a perfect fit for their family.

Since being adopted, Bluu has seamlessly integrated into her new family.

“Bluu is a silly little girl but super sweet and protective. My son and her are practically attached at the hip. They always play and fight like siblings,” Nafitha shared with Muddy Paws Rescue NYC.

Bluu also gets along well with her furry sibling, Oreo.

“Bluu keeps Oreo on his toes and doesn’t give him rest sometimes! She’s very playful. She has a fascination with birds and tries to run after or fly with them until she jumps and realizes she doesn’t have wings,” Nafitha added.

Despite her rough start in life, Bluu has become a happy, playful, and loving pup who is cherished by her new family.
