Little Stray Pup Takes Refuge At Construction Site Waiting For His Forever Family

Elliot, a sweet stray puppy, decided to take control of his fate.

In search of a loving family, he ventured to a hospital construction site, thinking it was his best bet.

A Surprising Visitor

Elliot was spotted at a hospital undergoing renovations in Irvine, California. Construction workers noticed the little pup and wanted to help him out.

At first, Elliot was very timid and avoided getting close to anyone. The workers tried to catch him multiple times but had no success.

To make him more comfortable, they gave him a blanket, which Elliot loved and often lay on. They also made sure he was well-fed.

The workers reached out to Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy, to rescue Elliot. She arrived at the site but couldn’t get near him either.

Elliot hid among the construction materials, so Hall set up a humane trap baited with a hot dog.

Within two hours, Elliot was caught and taken to the vet. He was treated for infections with antibiotics and underwent an X-ray and ultrasound.

The vets discovered he had swallowed a spring, which showed how desperate he was for food.

“That’s how hungry he was. He would just eat anything,” Hall explained.

Luckily, Elliot passed the spring without needing surgery.

A New Beginning

Elliot soon went to a foster home with Tracy Friedman. He quickly adapted and became less shy.

“First, he was scared, but now he’s so sweet,” Hall said. “She said he’s perfect.”

Knowing how much Elliot loved blankets, Tracy bought him a tower of them, which he adored.

Elliot dreamed of having a permanent family, and soon, that dream was realized.

On April 9th, 2023, Suzette Hall shared on Facebook that he was adopted and now lives by the sea. He is the only dog in his new home and receives lots of love and care.

Elliot, now called Vinny, is living his best life, showering his new mom with love and affection.
