Brave Stray Pup Enters Naval Base And Finds The Family He Always Wanted
Griffon the pup decided he had enough of being a stray.
So, what did he do?
He walked onto a naval base and picked himself a human. This smart pup knew the street life wasn’t for him. At just six months old, Griffon wanted a change.
A Bold Move
One day, Griffon wandered onto a U.S. naval base overseas. When a U.S. Naval Commander spotted him, he immediately saw the pup’s potential.
“A U.S. Naval Commander saw the little dog and immediately recognized he wouldn’t survive long alone in such a dangerous environment; scooping the pup up into his arms as he was reminded of his unit’s motto ‘Those who arrive alive, leave alive’ and he knew it had to apply to this little soul too,” reported Paws Of War, a non-profit organization.
News of the brave puppy spread quickly. Everyone on the base wanted to meet the tiny hero who had the guts to enter a military facility.
He Eventually Found His Destiny
Griffon’s courage and charm won everyone over.
The Commander, who chose to remain anonymous, decided he couldn’t leave the pup behind. With a family back in Maryland eager to welcome Griffon, the Commander knew this was meant to be.
Thanks to Paws of War, a non-profit organization that supports veterans with service dogs, Griffon was transported from the base to his new home in Maryland.
He reunited with the Commander, the first person who saw his potential and the first to show him love.
Today, Griffon is a beloved member of his new family, bringing joy and light into their lives. He serves and protects them just as his human dad does.
Griffon’s story from a stray to a cherished family member shows that sometimes, all it takes is a little courage and the right person to change a life.
