Dog Who Could Hardly Move His Legs Recovers Thanks To Amazing People
This is the story of a stray dog named Chance, who was found in such poor condition that he could barely move his legs due to severe starvation.
He luckily got rescued, but he had a long way to go.

When the team from D&A Animal Rescue in Texas first spotted Chance near some dumpsters, they were shocked by his condition.

He was so weak and malnourished that standing on his own was a struggle.
Without wasting any time, the rescuers rushed him to a veterinary clinic to get the care he so desperately needed.

Unfortunately, the news from the vet wasn’t good. Chance had multiple health problems that needed urgent attention, and his recovery was far from certain.
Adding to the challenge was the fact that Chance had been so badly abused that he resisted anyone trying to touch him. It was clear that he was deeply traumatized, but his rescuers were determined to help him heal.
Slowly Recovering
The woman who rescued Chance decided to bring him home to help him recover in a safe and loving environment.
He underwent surgery to address issues with his deformed spine, which had been causing him significant pain.

Though his recovery was slow, Chance gradually started to enjoy the simple pleasures that other dogs take for granted. His new mom was thrilled to see him slowly coming out of his shell.
Although Chance’s fractured spine still posed a challenge—one surgery had already failed, and another could be too risky—they opted to manage his condition with anti-inflammatory medication instead.
Healthier With A Bright Future Ahead
After a month of care, Chance’s health had visibly improved.

His foster mom now takes him to various places where he can play and enjoy the outdoors, helping him to become more trusting of people.
